In two re-arranged game both u11s came across two very good teams. Both Thornbury and Great Horton Church were unbeaten in the leagues, and it was evident why. Our lads though continue to develop their skills and improve each week

Wednesday 5th June
U9s v Cleckheaton
First game for the u9s this year due to half term and weather cancelling the first match. Batting first East Bierley scored 113-6 (Net 289) with some excelling ball striking and running between the innings and our highest score to date. Cleckheaton in reply reached 103-4 (Net 287) in what was a very good but close game for the boys. East Bierley winning by 2 runs.

Thursday 6th June
U13s v Adwalton
U13s played against local rivals Adwalton. Bowling first East Bierley we’re able to restrict Adwalton to 99-3 thanks to some tight bowling in the first 10 overs.
Tom Shuttleworth got the team off to a great start retiring on 31. A mature chase meant East Bierley eased to victory by 4 overs and 8 wickets in hand with Josh Hoyle finishing on 29not out.
