The innings got off to a fantastic start with an 83-run partnership between Sam Gatenby and Ben Heritage before Sam fell for a well-made 42. Dan Cross came in at three and continued with the tempo top scoring with 79 before an audacious shot we wont speak about. Ben was unfortunately run out for a solid 49 backing up at the bowler’s end. Hamza Saeed (35) accelerated the score late on we compiled a score of 253-7.

Crossflatts reply never really gained impetus and were dismissed for dismissed for 200 as Tom Burton 4-40 and opening bowler Mustafa Rafique 4-49 shared the bowling honours, taking wickets regularly.
